Pretending to be normal was hard when I was seeing things. And I had to be seeing things. There was no way a silver dog-like creature was silently padding its way across the black-and-white checker tiled floor of the tattoo parlour. The edges of its shape were blurred, a ghostly mist, and it walked with no sound. No click of nails, no panting of breath. Through its ethereal form, the black section of floor paled charcoal grey. Black pool eyes bore into mine as if it could see into my soul and it was slightly amused by what it saw.

Barely breathing, I stared down at it. My head was starting to pound with every heartbeat. I was half expecting it to fling itself at me without warning, ferociously snapping its jaws. After all, wasn’t that what ghosts did? After standing all silent and eerie, they did a sudden jump attack.

This one didn’t attack. It yawned its long, slender snout with wide gaping jaws and far too many sharp teeth. It was like no type of dog I’d ever seen. Its body was sleek and long, ending in a stiff tail that reached the floor, and it had stripes like black claw marks ripping across its back.

“May I help you?”

When a rugby bad boy butts heads with a retired Marine, which alpha male becomes top dog?

Scottie Monk came out of the womb angry at the world. He's selfish and bitter. "Bah humbug!" rolls off his tongue far easier than "Happy Christmas."

Gray Baird has dedicated his life to public service as a Marine Corps officer and later as a police chief. The decorated hero finds it impossible to ignore autistic twins in desperate need of holiday spirit. He'll be the grumpiest Santa in the world if it puts a smile their faces. And he'll drag a reluctant Scottie along for the ride.

This December, Gray and Scottie collide while unexpectedly playing Santa.

The short story The Unexpected Santa is book five in Dahlia Donovan's international bestselling gay romance series, The Sin Bin. Each one features hot rugby players and the men who steal their hearts.

“He’s married, now. Why don’t you move on and get over yourself?” Gray grabbed him by the shirt and spun him around. “In fact, let’s go sober you up then you can take your piss-poor attitude back to where you came from.”
“Get the fuck off me, old man.” Scottie yanked hard out of Gray’s grasp and twisted around, intending to tell the American off. Instead, he found himself face down on the pavement, having tripped over his own feet. Gray reached down to grab him. “Don’t break my arm. Oi. Ease up on me, fucker.”
“Quit acting like a child.” Gray pushed up on his arm briefly and then helped him to his feet once again, though he kept his hands firmly on Scottie. “Ready for the coffee? Or do you want to humiliate yourself further? I promise you that I’ve got well over thirty years of experience in dealing with punks like you. I’m not impressed.”
“All right, all right.” Scottie refused to apologise or admit anything to the man. He suddenly felt exhausted, and embarrassed, and allowed himself to be dragged across the street to the twenty-four-hour cafĂ© for coffee. “You don’t have to hover. I’m not going to suddenly start throwing chairs around the fucking place.”
“You sure?” Gray paused as the waitress approached, and ordered for both of them, which caused Scottie to bristle indignantly. The older man ignored his complaint. “We’ll both take coffees—black—plus two of your roast beef sandwiches. Throw in two bacon and egg ones as well.”
“I’m not your fucking child,” Scottie protested once the waitress had run off with the order. He pointedly refused to even address the way his cock had stiffened at Gray’s commanding presence. “Why are you even here?”

Wild Man

Wild Man
Sherilee Gray
(The Smith Brothers #2)
Publication date: November 28th 2017
Genres: Erotica, Romance
The first time I saw Beau Smith’s face, I fell for him…hard. There’s just a few tiny problems. He lives wild. I’ve never left the city. He wants a wife who can handle his harsh world. I just want him.
He’s been burnt in the past, and he won’t let me in easily, but there’s no denying the spark between us, so intense it could set the woods on fire. And with every hot and dirty night we spend together, I can feel his walls crumbling.
But once he realizes I’m not what he signed up for, that I lied to him about who I am—will he still want me, or will I lose my wild man forever?
Warning: The Smith Brothers are not just identical twins, they’re big, burly, bearded, insanely hot mountain men. They’re also sweet, and very, very dirty. Did I mention dirty?

EXCERPT:
She stepped closer and rested her hands on my chest, her cheeks flushed, eyes bright. “I’m so happy to be here with you, you have no idea,” she said softly.
My abs clenched. Jesus, just having her hands on me made me as hard as iron. “I think I have an idea.”
“Yeah?” she said, moving even closer.
I might have decided to keep my dick in my pants, but there was no way I wasn’t going to kiss her. I’d go mad if I didn’t taste those full lips. I dipped my head. “Oh yeah.”
We’d had a couple of hot and heavy conversations over the phone, but I’d tried not to go there too often with her. I knew this day was coming, and I had a definite idea of how our time together should be spent. If I’d been listening to her come over the phone the last six months all that would have disappeared out the window. Shit, I’d already have her naked in my bed.
I growled, shoving that image out of my head, and closed the distance between us.
Finally, our lips met…and I kid you not, the fucking angels sang.
My mouth covered hers, moving slowly at first, and my entire body lit up, every nerve ending sparking, my heart pounding. I slid my arms around her small waist and hauled her off her feet, lifting her so we were the same height. Shoving my fingers in her hair, I tilted my head to get more of her, and she opened for me, her sweet little tongue flicking out and brushing mine.
I’d been with quite a few women in my life. Like I said, I’d lived wild for a lot of years, acting out, trying to work out what I wanted. But as soon as I did, as soon as I knew what I wanted for my future, I’d stopped all of it. I’d focused on my goal, which was building a house and finding a woman who I could share it with. That was four years ago. Which meant I’d been celibate that long as well. So I wasn’t surprised by my reaction to Freya, by the pulsing need pounding through me at finally having her against me.
But I’d never in my life experienced anything like this. Like a live wire was sparking inside me, through my whole damn body. My hips punched forward all on their own, my cock impossibly hard. I knew I had to slow this down, take a step back, but God only knew how I was going to do that.

Tuesday Temptaion 1

This is a weekly meme also known as first chapter, first paragraph created by Bibliophile by the sea. This is my first one, I'm so excited!!!

Written by: Scott Baron

" Traffic flew by in a blur, a speeding deathtrap of rubber and metal buzzing at speeds well above the posted limit. A casual observer might think the deadly machines were almost anxious to turn anyone made of less-sturdy stuff and foolish enough to stumble into their path into grisly roadkill. They may have been inanimate, but they were dangerous as hell nonetheless. That didn’t concern the pale young woman in black one bit as she stood casually on the median of the busy street. No, her gaze and attention were entirely focused upon a doorway across the road as she ignored the buzzing vehicles."

So tell me do you want to know more???

It was a feeling I’d never wish on my worst enemy: heartache. It felt like being dangled over the edge of a cliff and knowing if the person let go, you’d fall to your death. The anticipation, though, the hanging and waiting for them to release you, that was the worst part. The unknown, the fear. That’s what heartache was like. There was never a thought that someone else could come along and make me forget about my love for Parker. I never so much as thought of another guy. I put my all into our marriage, with the hope that maybe the person I loved would realize what he had in front of him.

Reality was, I was alone.

Always.

Despite my anger with Parker for signing up for another deployment, we worked as a team tonight, packing up his duffle bags and footlocker, filling it with his life. Sad thing was, his life fit in those bags and footlockers. It was filled with clothes, army gear, and whatever other items meant something to him. As I folded another green T-shirt, I let the tears fall. Despite everything, I was sad to see him go, but for the first time, I realized I wasn’t his life. Maybe I never had been.

“Babe.” Parker wrapped his arms around me and rested his chin on my head. “It’s going to be all right.” I looked up at him as I often did, my eyes pleading with him to understand me. Every time I looked at Parker, I was transported back to the first day I saw him at the diner. I held on to that memory. It kept me going; it gave me hope. Looking up at him now, all I saw was loneliness, a lifetime of me hoping he would choose me, settle down and start a family. I would never ask him to give up what he loved for me, though. I couldn’t help but think if he loved me, he would have already chosen me and I wouldn’t even have to ask.
